Privacy Policy

We'll keep this plain. Polycast is a desktop app that runs on your computer, so most of what you'd worry about with a cloud service simply doesn't apply here. This page covers the little we do collect on the website and what happens when you buy.
The short version
Your stream, your stream keys, and your destinations live on your machine. They don't pass through any server we run, because there isn't one on the path. The only personal information we handle is what you hand us directly — your email if you join the waitlist, and your billing details when you buy.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist: your email address. We send it to our email provider (Kit, formerly ConvertKit) so we can email you when Polycast ships. That's the only thing we'll send you — no newsletter, no drip.
If you buy Polycast (once that's live): your payment is handled by our payment processor, Stripe. They process the card; we never see or store the full card number. We keep a record of the purchase — your email, what you bought, and the license tied to it — so we can give you your license and support it.
When you use the app: nothing about your broadcast reaches us. The encoding and the push to each destination happen locally.
How we use it
To email you about the launch, to deliver and support your license, and to run the business. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it except with the providers above who help us operate (email and payments).
Your choices
Unsubscribe from the waitlist any time using the link in any email we send. Want us to delete what we have on you? Email us and we'll take care of it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For anything significant, we'll let you know.
